FLN WonderBox

20 toys for 1,00,000+ Anganwadis

At the Centre for Creative Learning, a lab in the lush IIT Gandhinagar campus, we created a set of toys aimed at transforming the experience of learning at all Anganwadis in Uttar Pradesh.

The WonderBox has classic & new toys. The aim was not aesthetic, but maximum learning at a minimal price, with long-lasting materials that hundreds of children can handle over the years.

We went through a rigorous manufacturing and testing process to make sure that they are used in the classrooms. Every child deserves a playful childhood, and we can't be more excited by how many lives this Kit will touch.

A few examples of the toys are below.

Learning Outcomes:
Sizes, Numbers

A simple box of circles in 10 different sizes can be stacked and placed in order horizontally. The square box it comes in offers another challenge: can you fit all 10 circles in the box? It's tougher than it looks to use your packing skills to fit them all in. :)

Learning Outcomes:

Vocabulary, Image recognition, Quick reflexes

Adapting the classic game Dobble into commonly seen Indian fruits and vegetables was a no-brainer addition to this kit, which required plenty of brainwork to design. Children loved shouting out the names and quickly grabbing the card that they've won.

Emotion Words, Fine Motor Skills

Look at the stick man. Does he seem happy, sad, angry, scared? Choose your emotion card. Observe the body language and the face. Act the emotion out & reate your own interpretation of the emotion using Play-Doh.

" We love that the toys are of high quality. Teachers have integrated them into their teaching already, for example, while teaching Hindi numbers. "
