Made with Care
Jump brings together product design, learning design, and developmental research into a single practice. Built on years of working directly with children in classrooms, workshops, and research projects across India, we don't assume what children need.
We work with them on each unique project to find out!
Many products for children are shaped primarily by adult assumptions, market trends, or curricular standards. We are guided by how children actually learn, play, and make sense of the world. Jump exists to bridge that gap by combining developmental understanding with thoughtful design, an approach we call Childhood Design.

OUR VALUES
Jump Design runs on four core beliefs about childhood design.

Swati Shelar is a designer and educator who set up JUMP in 2021. She is convinced that the children's design space deserves more rigorous thinking than it is receiving. Her research interests are Social Emotional Learning and Maker Education.
She graduated from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and did her MA Ed. at the Learning Design Technology program at Stanford University.
Since then, she has worked across NGOs, global organisations like UNICEF, government programmes, and early-stage startups, and has reached more than 1,50,000 children across India and abroad through her work.
Her interest in children's growth guides her work.
The curiosity they arrive with.
The seriousness of their play.
The questions they ask.
She has spent her career making sure those questions are honoured & nurtured.
