My Wonder Explorations
The MyWonder team is developing a conversational audio companion for children that has specific functions that could aid a child's growth and learning.
We worked with the team to explore:
1. Content Domains and Learning Objectives
2. Toy character design & each character's function
3. Product Design considerations for the body of the speaker
4. 3D figurine design & exploring manufacturing methods for these
This project helped the founders explore various design considerations through our prototypes before deciding on a sustainable first version of the product to launch into the market.

We started off by exploring various learning domains that are important in early childhood, deriving inspiration for the characters that would "speak" to the child from here. The priorities for conversational content were narrowed down to:
1) Cognitive exploration (answering curious STEM questions)
2) Habit formation (like bedtime routines)
3) Entertainment (Being able to play music & guide musical play)
From here, we chose to go with a Curious Fox Astronaut, a Sleepy Sloth and a Meowsical Cat as characters that a child may have conversations with.
